Poor start of the season for Arsenal
It was not a long ago when Arsenal was placed on the 15th position. The situation within the club was so doomy that even the players were forced to sign annexes to their contracts with 30% potential reduce of salaries in case of relegation. Hopefully for all Gunners’ fans, the team managed to improve their performance and recorded 3 straight wins and 1 draw. There is no news for any absences of regular starters and key players with the exception of the defender Pablo Mari.
No win for Newcastle in 8 games
The situation at Newcastle is worst than ever. The team was eliminated in both Carabao Cup and FA Cup. In the former cup, Brentford beat the Geordies 1-0, and in the latter Arsenal eliminated the team. The situation in the domestic league is terrible as well. Newcastle recorded 4 losses and 2 draws. There is no light at the end of the tunnel considering the level of confidence and bravery in the players.
Final thoughts
We assume that Arsenal will have a far more successful second half of the season and the team will reach the Europa League places. Today’s win is mandatory for the Gunners. Newcastle should take a dramatic decision in relation to their ownership and management to change their miserable situation.
