Villa failed to win in the last 3
Despite the fact that Aston Villa failed to win any of their last 3 games, we should admit that the team played well in all games without an exclusion. It was a very hard row of facing in a following order Chelsea (1-1 away), Man Utd (2-1 away) and Man City (2-0). All of the games were away from their home ground Villa Park. Today Villa has the chance to turn back to the winning road.
No light at the end of the tunnel for Newcastle
Newcastle has been in a terrible form recently. The team managed by Steve Bruce recorded 5 losses and 2 draws. Unfortunately, the lack of points is not the worst thing within the team. It seems that the players are not determined to fight for their manager. We have not seen a worse and doomy atmosphere at St James Park for a long time.
Our verdict
Villa won a point at Stamford Bridge. They were close at getting a point against United and showed stable performance against the in-form team of Man City. We think that it is high time for Aston Villa to get the 3 points against a miserable and unconvincing version of Newcastle.
