Yet to Impress
England finished in 1st place in group D. Despite the team has not conceded a goal in the group stage, we are finding it hard to note many positive things about the performance of the team. It seems that the manager Gareth Southgate is facing difficulties in picking the best starting elevens in spite of the abundance of talent on the bench. England may not have lost a game yet but we are still waiting for them to wake up.
Last Match of Low?
Quite seriously, the upcoming game could turn to be the last for the manager of the Bundesteam Joachim Low. We could not say many nice words about the performance of the German team either. Germany may have been almost flawless against Portugal (4-2) but the team was beaten by France (0-1) and failed to record a win over the underdog Hungary (2-2).
Final Thoughts
The upcoming clash between England and Germany will be tense. There will be a fierce battle full of sweat, blood and tears. There won’t be many goals as well and considering the current form and potential of both teams, England should qualify for the quarter-finals.
