Lazio steps in thinking about CL
Lazio is set to face Bayern on Tuesday in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. Lazio has not participated in the most prestigious tournament for a long time and it is quite normal to expect that the team can underestimate the importance of today’s game against Sampdoria. Lazio is facing some problems with the defence – Wesley Hoedt and Manuel Lazzari are suspended, Luis Felipe is injured while Stefan Radu will go on surgery. All those absences along with the long-term injury of the goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha are premises for conceding some goals.
Only 1 loss out of 5 for Sampdoria
Claudio Ranieri has cemented the team’s performances recently. Sampdoria has recorded 3 wins, 1 draw and only 1 loss out of the last 5 games. The team is currently placed in 10th place. Sampdoria has nothing to lose tonight, so we expect to see their best attacking and direct version. There is no news for any absences within the squad.
Final thoughts
Considering the forthcoming game of Lazio against Bayern and their general vulnerabilities in defence combined with the absence of some key players on the back, we think that there are good premises for seeing many goals today.
