The Reds were removed from the 1st position
Liverpool failed to record a win in the last four games. The Reds ended 3 games in a draw and lost once. The most embarrassing thing is not related with the 3 points won but to the fact that the Reds scored only once in 4 games. This is quite a negative record. The list of missing players is the same as in the previous games – Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomes.
Burnley – a guarantee for battle
Burnley recorded 3 losses in the last 4 games and the team dropped back to the 17th position, just placed to the relegation zone. The positive thing here is that Burnley lost their games showing fierce battle and determination to the opponents. Burnley’s defence is 3rd best from the teams in the second half of the league table and will be their main source of hope for getting some points at Anfield tonight.
Our verdict
We are not expecting to see plenty of goals tonight. It will be a hard game for Liverpool. Anyway, Jurgen Klopp has shown many times that his team owns the mentality of champions that could easily break through bad rows and come back to the winners.
