The Greek champions of Olympiakos are facing Slovan Bratislava in the 1st leg of the decisive PlayOffs for the Europa League Group Stage. The game is set to be played at 20:00 GMT 0 at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus.

Defeated by Ludogorets

Olympiacos was eliminated by the Bulgarian champions of Ludogorets despite not losing either of the two games (1-1; 2-2). The Greeks were unlucky to be defeated by a penalty shootout. To be entirely sincere, the Bulgarian side was the better one and deserved to continue. Anyway, Olympiacos looks like the strong favourite against Slovan. The team has signed Rony Lopez from Sevilla and has increased its attacking power.

Brave Slovaks

Slovan Bratislava was near to eliminating Young Boys in the previous round of the Champions League Qualifiers. However, the team should be pleased that they still have the chance of breaking into the Group Stage of the Europa League. It will be a hard task to get a positive result at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium but the Slovaks will do all it takes.

Final Thoughts

Olympiacos is without doubt the better side. The team has been reinforced during the week with the signing of Rony Lopez. Kostas Manolas is rumoured to join the club as well. The ambitions of this club are set pretty high and far beyond winning the title in the Greek Superliga. We are expecting a win tonight!
