The team of PAOK finished on the 2nd place in Greek Super League behind the flawless team of Olympiakos. PAOK managed to beat 3-1 Besiktas in the last round of Champions League and showed that their home ground Toumba is like a fortress difficult to be conquered. We shall see what it is going to happen tonight against a more powerful opponent.
Benfica has not played an official game since the beginning of August. It would be difficult to define the current condition of the team. Anyway, Benfica managed to reinforce their squad seriously during the summer as the club signed with Jan Vertonghen as a free agent, Everton came from Gremio, Luca Waldschmidt was signed from Freiburg and Darwin Nunez joined the club for a fee of over 21 million EUR from Almeria. Jorge Jesus was appointed as the new manager of the club, a legendary coach and established name not only in Portugal and Brazil.
