Preparation for EURO 2020
Slovakia will participate in the upcoming EURO 2020 championship. The country was part of the previous EURO 2016 that took place in France for the first time after official separation from Czechoslovakia. Slovakia reached the 1/16 finals but was subsequently eliminated by Germany. The coach of the team Stefan Tarkovic can use an alternative squad and can give more playing minutes to players that have not been often part of the usual starting elevens.
New Beginning for Bulgaria
Perhaps a few of us remember the time when Bulgaria was part of the football elite. The country reached the semi-finals of the World Cup 1994 in the USA as the team was full of talented and already-established stars like Hristo Stoichkov, Emil Kostadinov and Krasimir Balakov. The good times of Bulgarian football have been gone for a long time. The newly appointed coach of the team Yasen Petrov hopes to build a competitive team for the World Cup in Qatar. Bulgaria took part in the EURO 2004 in Portugal. That was the last big tournament for the country.
Final Thoughts
The condition of the Slovakian team is far better and perhaps the team will not lose this game. It is expected to see few goals on the pitch as well.
