Good Start
Valencia started the season with a win (1-0) over Getafe and a draw against Granada (1-1). It is obvious that there has been an improvement within the team as the last season Valencia was endangered from relegation. The board appointed the experienced manager Pepe Bordalas in charge of the team.
No Signs for Improvement
Alaves was close to relegation in the last campaign as the team finished just 4 points above the red line. Thanks to the shaky performances of Valladolid and Huesca, Alaves succeeded in keeping their place in the 1st tier of Spanish football. Alaves started the current season with two home defeats against Real Madrid (1-4) and Mallorca (0-1).
Final Thoughts
We think that Valencia has a more balanced squad and with a manager like Pepe Bordalas, the goals of the team should be set higher this season. We are expecting a win for the Bats today.
